Bulletproofbodies Interviews Teen Games Athlete - Reece Mitchell

Reece Mitchell came 4th at the CrossFit Games 2019 at only 17 years old.

What's even more amazing is that he made his first appearance at the Games as a 15 year old.

We were lucky enough to have Reece come and join us at the Bulletproof Your Body Injury Prevention Workshop.

Reece at only 17 is a true champion as to return from injury is always an amazing achievement.

Reece describes that at the very first event of the Games he tore his glute on the first event.

Confused between the American system and Kilos he put more on the bar!

Reece sought the help of Bulletproof Physiotherapist Dale Walker.

Reece and Dale worked together for months to get him pain free and back to optimal function.

He managed to qualify for the Games but made the mature decision not to go as he was not at his best.

The proof is in Reece getting back to the Games and competing at the highest level with the fittest on Earth.

Reece is now much more conscious about injury and how to manage injuries.

It was fantastic to have the UK's top Teen athlete endorse Bulletproofbodies.

Reece Mitchell, the Bulletproofbodies Team salute you.

CROSSFIT GAMES 2019 HIGHLIGHTS

So, are you over it yet?

The CrossFit Games remains the same.

Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair and Team Mayhem Freedom are our champions once again.

An amazing result for Norway's Kristin Holte coming 2nd at the Games.

It was very sad to see that there was little media coverage for the Masters or Teen divisions.

So what about the UK?

Huge congratulations to Reece Mitchell for coming an amazing 4th Fittest Teenager in the world.

Team JST Compete came an outstanding 10th in the Team competition.

The UK's Elliot Simmonds came 37th in the Men's competition.

Sam Briggs came 18th in the Women's competition.

It may be hard to believe but The CrossFit Open is only weeks away.

Gulp! - Workout 20.1 will be announced on October 10th.

Is your body Bulletproof?

Reece Mitchell - a rising British Crossfit Athlete comes of age

He is only 15 years old.

He is from Liverpool in England.

He didn't like CrossFit initially.

His CrossFit Box is CrossFit 1878 (Peak Performance) in Liverpool.

5-10 ALBION STREET
LIVERPOOL, UNITED KINGDOM, L5 3QW

This is his story:

Reece says he enjoys "pain and suffering and seeing just how much pain he can take."

Tom, his coach says the hard part is getting Reece to rest and not posting his workouts on Instagram.

His main goal is to get a new PB in his Snatch and to win the Games.

Reece just placed 3rd in the World at the Reebok 2017 CrossFit Games.

I caught up with Recce at the Rainhill Trials earlier this year at the Rocktape UK stand in Manchester.

What an incredible future this young man has ahead of him!

Recce, the Bulletproofbodies Team Salute you.
