Road to the Games - Dottir Style in Iceland

                   


318,000 people in Iceland.

But a disproportionate amount of super CrossFit athletes.

How do these amazing girls from Iceland do it?


The answer is, it’s never easy, no matter who you are.

Sara, Annie and Katrin talk about their road to the Games and what it means to them.

Katrin and Annie train together to push each other to the next level.

Annie trains with Fredrick who is also a Games athlete.

Annie has a background in Gymnastics, but CrossFit is her Sport and her passion. 

She still gets excited about going to the Gym!

Every year these girls get fitter and stronger.

With the new North Europe Regionals, let's hope we see different athletes appear on the journey to the CrossFit Games.

Sara Sigmundsdottir and the importance of naps

CrossFit is my job!

It takes time, that’s just how it is. 

You need to be patient.

But you also need to be ready.

You never know what could come up.



Eat, sleep, train repeat.

Not sleeping enough was a big problem for Sara.

It is something that we often forget in a world full of training.


Sleep hygiene is important to allow you to get 8 hours sleep per night.

Combined with 20 minute naps throughout the day.

20 minutes is the perfect amount of time for a nap.

Any longer and your body goes into a deeper sleep and you will feel groggy when you wake up.

So there you have it.

Sleep more!
