For Kettlebell Training, Bulletproofbodies only recommends - Pavel Tsatsouline

Do you ever wonder where Kettle Bell Training originated?

When using the Kettle Bell to train there is only one Master to listen to.

There is only one Pavel.

Pavel Tsatsouline is the real deal.

Watch this video to learn the KettleBell basics from the original Master.

He is best known for bringing the Kettle Bell to the West and incorporating "Russian Style" training into every wannabe CrossFitter.

The Kettle Bell Swing is the basic exercise.

The Swing is a closed chain exercise that works the posterior chain.

What?

It means that it works the muscles of the lower back, Glutes, and Hamstrings in a functional way.

The Kettle Bell also teaches you timing and rhythm.

Pavel's book, "The Naked Warrior" is simplistic in it's genius.

It concentrates on only TWO exercises, the Squat and Press Up.

However, if you can do one leg "Pistol" squats and "one arm press ups" then you are already well ahead of the pack.

So Comrade, Enjoy!

Pavel the Bulletproofbodies Team Salute you.

Reece Mitchell - a rising British Crossfit Athlete comes of age

He is only 15 years old.

He is from Liverpool in England.

He didn't like CrossFit initially.

His CrossFit Box is CrossFit 1878 (Peak Performance) in Liverpool.

5-10 ALBION STREET
LIVERPOOL, UNITED KINGDOM, L5 3QW

This is his story:

Reece says he enjoys "pain and suffering and seeing just how much pain he can take."

Tom, his coach says the hard part is getting Reece to rest and not posting his workouts on Instagram.

His main goal is to get a new PB in his Snatch and to win the Games.

Reece just placed 3rd in the World at the Reebok 2017 CrossFit Games.

I caught up with Recce at the Rainhill Trials earlier this year at the Rocktape UK stand in Manchester.

What an incredible future this young man has ahead of him!

Recce, the Bulletproofbodies Team Salute you.

Is there a Ninja inside you?

I have a secret to tell you.

I have a new obsession.

Total Ninja has opened in Manchester and I am hooked!

I have been into OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) since I did the original Tough Guy back in 1999.

OCR is true “Functional Fitness” and I was surprised how quickly my upper body fatigued due to lack of hanging/pulling endurance.

These days I mainly do Kipping pull ups/Muscle ups and miss out the basics of strict pull ups.

Simply by hanging from a bar until fatigue I can improve my functional grip strength.

I would then progress this to swinging on the bar

There were many types of gripping I was not used to.

Despite being a Climber, the grip endurance was the main issue I was having.

I kept "pumping out" on my forearms (should have brought my Compex!)

The other issue was my power to weight ratio which is ever decreasing!

As for balance, I was also a bit rusty and creamed in on the rolling steps many times before changing my technique and then my success.

What you wear on your feet will also make a massive difference.

I felt some pain in my big toe from repeatedly jumping for the top of the half pipe on the wall.

This is because you are jumping upwards on a surface that is also vertically inclining, which is unusual.

I don't recommend minimalist shoes for this.

In addition, the grip on the sole of your shoes is everything when it comes to the spider wall.

Wrong shoe = No glue

Injury Prevention Tips:

1. Wear gloves unless your hands are well conditioned they will rip
2. Wear the right footwear, particularly the sole needs to be grippy
3. Rest sufficiently between Ninja runs to avoid over training
4. Go home when you are too fatigued to maintain performance
5. Learn how to break fall or Commando roll out when you fall

It's not as easy as when you watch Ninja Warrior on TV!

All Ninjas everywhere, the Bulletproofbodies Team Salute You.

Bulletproofbodies Presents - Don't get Cross get Fit

Have you downloaded a copy of our book?

If so have you actually looked at it?

Hopefully you found it useful?

We would love to have your feedback!
Please send it to:

Bulletproof Physio bulletproofbodies1@gmail.com

We always listen in order to find out how we can best serve the Extreme Sports & Conditioning community.

If you are into the Extreme then I’m sure you are no stranger to injury.
We can only control the controllables!

But it is about our General Physical Preparedness (GPP).

Injury is the enemy of Physical Training and so we must learn to make ourselves robust because fit people are harder to kill!

Don’t get Cross get Fit is our free E book to help serve the community we love and are also part of.

The contents of DGCGF are highlighted below:

The first chapter talks about Mind-set and pain being part of the programming.

The second chapter discusses the importance of posture and how this is pre-movement positioning.

The third chapter shows you the route from the conceptual to the functional.

In chapter four we discover basic biomechanics and how these transition into dynamics.

Chapter five is about body tension and the use of suspension training.

The sixth chapter is about adaptation to the demands of your training. Most athletes over train and under recover.

In chapter seven we talk about absorption of force.

Chapter eight is highlights the importance of wearing Body Armour.

The ninth chapter covers rest and recover strategies to optimise your downtime.

Chapter ten is the end to the E book and it discusses “training between training.”
